Men’s Basketball Edged by Hamline 79-78

Women’s Basketball Defeats Macalester 51-23

The Gustavus women's basketball team stepped out of league play Wednesday night, defeating Macalester College 51-23 at Gus Young Court in St. Peter. Bri Monahan and Jess Vadnais led the Gusties with 12 and 10 points, respectively, in limited action. Gustavus improves to 18-5 on the season, while Macalester drops to 2-20. The Gusties will face league-leader College of Saint Benedict Saturday afternoon in St. Peter.

Junior post player Bri Monahan (Hutchinson, Minn.) poured in 31 points and ripped down 14 rebounds to lead the Gustavus women's basketball team to a 79-64 win over Hamline on Saturday in St. Paul. Monahan finished the game 11-of-24 from the field and a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw line. The Gusties improve to 11-3 overall, 9-2 in the MIAC, while Hamline drops to 7-8 overall, 4-7 in the conference.

TeBrake’s 37-Point Performance Helps Gusties Earn Decisive 75-60 MIAC Victory Over Macalester

Gustavus senior guard Adam TeBrake (St. Peter, Minn.) scored a career-high 37 points, 25 in the first half, as the Gusties picked up a 75-60 win on Monday night in St. Paul. Gustavus won their sixth contest in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and their 11th overall.
