Nick Ross Leads Men’s Cross Country Team At All-American Invitational

Nick Ross posted finished 12th out of 187 runners with a time of 21:05 to help the Gustavus men's cross country team post an eighth place finish out of 11 teams at the All-American Invitational hosted by Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.

Cross Country Teams Take Part In All-American Invitational In Decorah, Iowa On Saturday

The Gustavus men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Decorah, Iowa on Saturday to take part in the All-American Invitational hosted by Luther College. The meet will include many of the top small college cross country squads in the Upper Midwest. The Gusties will be looking to continue the strong running they displayed in winning both the men's and women's races at the Bethany Lutheran Invitational on Sept. 1.

Cross Country Teams Host Alumni Meet

The Gustavus men's and women's cross country teams hosted their annual Alumni Meet in the Linnaeus Arboretum on Saturday, August 31. Thirty-two runners took part in the women's race including 27 members of the 2010 women's team and five alums, while 39 runners took part in the men's race including 19 members of the 2010 men's team and 20 alums.

Gustavus Head Coach Dale Bahr is looking forward to his second year at the helm as the Gusties return six letterwinners from a squad that finished eighth at the MIAC Championships and 16th out of 25 teams at the NCAA Central Region meet last year.

John Kennedy Named CoSIDA Academic All-American

The 2010 ESPN the Magazine Men's Track and Field / Cross Country Academic All-America honor teams were announced recently and Gustavus senior cross country and track student athlete John Kennedy was named to the team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

 

Men’s Cross Country Team Finishes 16th At NCAA Central Region Meet

The Gustavus men’s cross team wrapped up its 2009 season with a 16th place finish out of 25 teams at the NCAA Central Region Meet hosted by Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.  The Gusties totalled 442 points.  St. Thomas and Nebraska Wesleyan tied for first place with 116 points.  Gustavus was led individually by Mark [...]

 

Men’s Cross Country Team Finishes Eighth at MIAC Championships

The men's cross country team posted an eighth place finish at the MIAC Championships, which were held at the Como Park Golf Course in St. Paul on Saturday afternoon. The team, which tallied a score of 207, was led by Nick Ross who finished 32nd in a time of 27:20. Hamline won the team title with a score of 61.

Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Teams Set To Race At MIAC Championships

The Gustavus men's and women's cross country teams will take part in the MIAC Championships this Saturday at Como Park Golf Course in St. Paul, Minn. The women's race is scheduled to begin at 2:15 p.m. with the men's race to follow at 3:15 p.m.

Men’s Cross Country Places 21st At Jim Drews Invitational

The Gustavus men's cross country team finished 21st out of 29 at the Jim Drews Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse. The meet was held in West Salem, Wisconsin. Mark Hartman was the top Gustie finisher as he placed 117th with a time of 26:41.

Men’s Cross Country Takes Part In MSU, Mankato Invitational

The Gustavus men's cross country team took part in the Caty Delwische Invitational hosted by the Minnesota State University, Mankato at Land Of Memories Park in Mankato on Saturday morning. The meet was not scored. The course was 5,000 meters and the top Gustavus finishers included Anders Bowman, who placed seventh (20:04) and John Kennedy, who placed eighth (20:11).
