Thibodeau, Ries To Compete In Gymnastics Championships This Weekend

Two Gustavus gymnasts sophomore Dani Thibodeau and first year Jamie Ries will take part in the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) National Championships this weekend in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Thibodeau qualified individually on the balance beam and floor exercise, while Ries qualified on the uneven bars.

 

Gymnastics Team Finishes With Season Best Score of 178.350 At WIAC Championships

The Gustavus gymnastics team wrapped up its 2011 team schedule with a season best score of 178.350 at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships, which were held at the University of Wisconsin at Stout in Menonomie.

Gymnastics Team Competes At WIAC Championships On Saturday

The Gustavus gymnastics team will travel to Menomonie, Wis. for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Saturday, March 12. The University of Wisconsin at Stout will serve as the host for the eight team championship, which is set to start at 4 pm in the Johnson Fieldhouse.

Gymnastics Team Drops Dual To UW-Eau Claire

The Gustavus gymnastics team dropped a dual meet to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Friday night in Eau Claire by the score of 172.575 to 179.950. Dani Thibodeau paced the Gusties with a 3rd place finish in the All-Around with a total of 35.250.

Opsahl’s Career Night Not Enough To Push Gymnastics Team Past UW-Stout

Samantha Opsahl shattered her career best scores on both the balance beam (9.325) and floor exercise (9.300) on Thursday night at the Sponberg Gymnastics Studio, but it wasn't enough to help the Gusties defeat UW-Stout in a dual meet in St. Peter, Minn. The Blue Devils posted a team score of 178.750, while the Gusties registered a team total of 173.400.

Gymnastics Places Fourth At Best of Minnesota Meet

The Gustavus gymnastics team posted a score of 175.525 to finish fourth out of four teams at the Best of Minnesota meet hosted by the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis on Saturday evening. The Gusties were led by Danielle Thibodeau who finished sixth in the All-Around with a score of 36.025.
