BLOOMINGTON, Minn. — Alex Budde (Sr., Menomonee Falls, Wis.) defeated three nationally ranked opponents over the week, winning singles matches against No. 24 Pomona-Pitzer, No. 13 Cal Tech, and No. 3 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. Budde also picked up a pair of doubles wins, helping the Gusties defeat Cal Tech by an eventual 6-3 score, and defeating the No. 1 doubles of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps with partner Gage Gohl (Fy., Sioux Falls, S.D.). For his performance, and for the second time this season, Budde was named MIAC Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week.
