SAINT PETER, Minn. – The Gustavus men’s hockey team Saturday night lost 3-1 to UW-River Falls at Don Roberts Ice Rink in its final non-conference game of the season. The Gusties drop to 2-13-2 overall, while the Falcons improve to 7-9-1.

Lucas Jorgenson (So., Orono) scored his first goal of the season with 1:45 remaining in the first period. Nate Stone (Fy., Edina) and Nick Mountain (Fy., Woodbury) assisted on the goal and the Gusties led 1-0 after 20 minutes. The Falcons tied the game at the 13:22 mark of the season and scored what proved to be the game-winner four minutes later. The visitors added an insurance goal in the third for the 3-1 victory.

Will Pinney (Fy., St. Louis Park) made 17 saves in goal for the Gusties. The Falcons went 0-for-2 on the power play and the Gusties were 0-for-1.

The Gusties return to conference play next weekend with a series against Augsburg. Friday night’s game in Saint Peter begins at 7 p.m.
