Men’s Golf Sits in 12th Place After Day Two at Camp Lejune Posted on April 6th, 2019 by

CAMP LEJUNE, N.C. – The Gustavus men’s golf team competed at their second course in as many days in Camp Lejune, N.C. The teams participating are split into two divisions, Gold and Scarlet, with the Gusties being in 12th of 29 total teams. The top 15 teams are currently in the Gold division while the bottom 14 are in the Scarlet division.

“It’s been a bit of a struggle to take advantage of birdie putts,” said Head Coach Scott Moe. “This is our first event of the spring so we’re trying to work the rust off a little on approach shots. We’re looking forward to great day tomorrow as we’ll be playing the Gold course. We had a good practice session after the round today working on converting putts and I have good feeling moving forward.”

On Friday the Gusties played at a par 70 course while today they played on a par 73 and the individual scores for the two rounds go as follows:

The Gusties will finish play at Camp Lejune tomorrow.
