SAINT PETER, Minn. – The No. 15 Gustavus men’s tennis team returned to Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Saturday at the Swanson Tennis Center, defeating Saint Mary’s 8-1 before a 9-0 win over Saint John’s. The Gusties are now 11-4 overall and 6-0 in the MIAC.

“The guys competed well today,” Head Coach Tommy Valentini said. “We executed well in the doubles and used our depth in the singles. We stuck together and supported each other well throughout the day. Against Saint Mary’s we showed good poise in some key moments in the singles to stop some momentum they might have gained. Against Saint John’s the doubles set an excellent tone and our focus was strong throughout the singles. We’re grateful for two good MIAC wins and look forward to a great week of preparation for our spring trip.”
