BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Gustavus senior throwing specialist Michael Hensch (North Branch, Minn.) has been named MIAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for his performance at the CSB/SJU Invite last Saturday.
Hensch highlighted the meet for Gustavus, winning the weight throw with a McNeely Spectrum record heave of 60-5.25, breaking the previous mark by nearly two feet. Hensch’s throw is currently 14th-best in NCAA Division III this season. He also took second place in the shot put with a throw of 52-0.
