NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The No. 36 Gustavus women’s tennis team’s eight-match win streak within the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, dating back to last year, was snapped Saturday as No. 39 Carleton claimed a slim 5-4 victory in a battle of unbeaten teams in the league. The rematch of the 2016 MIAC playoff championship went down to the wire, but it was the Knights coming out on top this time with three tiebreaker victories in singles play to seal the victory. The loss drops the Gusties to 13-7 overall and 5-1 in the MIAC, while the Knights improve to 12-4 overall and 8-0 in the league.
