UPDATED 9:37 a.m. Sunday: The Bethel Invite has been cancelled due to lightning and rain. Scores from Saturday are final. “It was another tournament this spring that we played well as a team,” Assistant Coach Randy Stuckey said. “It just shows the importance of finishing every hole and every round because we never know when play will end. We are looking forward to continuing our good play next weekend as we finish our spring season.”

First Round Results

VICTORIA, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s golf team is in third place after the first round of the Bethel University Spring Invite that is being played at Deer Run Golf Course. The Gusties scored a 317 in the first round and are 11 strokes behind meet leader Carleton. Host Bethel is in second place with a score of 315.

Jessica Nelson (So., Wayzata, Minn.) led the Gusties in the first round by tying for fourth place with a score of 75.

The Gusties will attempt to catch the Knights and Royals in tomorrow’s second round that will also be played at Deer Run.
