Men’s Tennis Concludes Spring Training Trip With 9-0 Loss To Amherst Posted on April 5th, 2014 by

Amherst, Mass. – The Gustavus Adolphus men’s tennis team concluded its trip to Greater Boston with a 9-0 loss to fourth-ranked Amherst College on Saturday afternoon.  After going 4-2 on its spring training trip to the east coast, No. 18 Gustavus will return to Minnesota with an overall record of 21-5.

The Gusties will be back in action next weekend with three matches.  Head Coach Tommy Valentini will once again split up his team with one group heading to the Milwaukee area and another group staying back Minnesota.  The Wisconsin committee will face DePauw University on Saturday, April 12 at 3:00 p.m. and Kalamazoo College on Sunday, April 13 at 10:00 a.m.  The Minnesota crew will take on Saint Mary’s University on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. in Winona, Minn.
