Women’s Hockey Remains No. 9 In USCHO.com Poll Posted on February 10th, 2014 by

St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus women’s hockey team maintained its No. 9 ranking in the latest USCHO.com Division III Women’s Hockey Poll, which was released Monday.

Last weekend, the Gusties defeated St. Catherine 3-0 on Friday night in St. Peter before walking away with a 3-1 win on Saturday afternoon in St. Paul to improve to 14-5-2 overall and 12-2-0 in the MIAC.

This week’s poll remained unchanged from last week.  Although suffering its first loss of the season last weekend, Plattsburgh State retained the No. 1 spot.  St. Thomas is the only other member of the MIAC to rank in the top-ten at No. 8.

Gustavus will take on St. Thomas in a crucial series with the conference lead on the line this weekend.  The two teams will square off in St. Peter on Friday night at 7:00 p.m., before traveling to Mendota Heights, Minn., on Saturday afternoon for a 2:00 p.m., opening face off.
