Men’s Hockey Climbs To No. 13 In USCHO.com Division III Men’s Poll Posted on February 3rd, 2014 by

St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus men’s hockey moved up two spots in this week’s USCHO.com Division III Men’s Poll released Monday.  The Gusties are ranked No. 13 after making their first appearance on the poll at No. 15 last week.  The Black and Gold also makes its first appearance on the D3hockey.com Division III Top 15 Poll, coming in at No. 15.

Gustavus enters the week riding a six-game winning-streak and is most recently coming off a six point sweep over Saint John’s.  The Gusties took the series-opener 2-1 on Friday night in St. Peter then used a fast start to earn a 4-1 victory on Saturday night in St. Cloud.

Last weekend’s wins extended the Gusties’ conference unbeaten-streak to 11 games.  Gustavus is in first place in the MIAC standings with 32 points at 13-4-3 overall and 10-1-1 in the MIAC.

The Gustavus men’s hockey team will take a break from conference play this weekend when it travels to River Falls, Wis. on Friday, Feb. 7 for a 7:05 p.m. game against UW-River Falls.
