Gustavus was able to rally after six scoreless frames , but the rally would come three runs short.  Following a Paige Breneman (So., Sherburn, Minn.) walk, Christina Riester (Sr., Wabasha, Minn.) singled.  Brittany Brenke (Jr., Le Sueur, Minn.) drove in a run with a single to cut the lead to 5-1, and Sam Breneman (Sr., Sherburn, Minn.) brought in Riester with sacrifice fly to bring the score to 5-2.

Bethel starting pitcher Karli Persson kept Gustavus’s hitters off balance throughout the morning.  She earned the complete-game victory after allowing two runs on five hits.  Sarah Rozell suffered the loss for Gustavus after going five runs on seven hits.

Brittany Brenke led the Gusties at the dish, going 2-for-4 with a RBI.
