St. Peter, Minn. – The Gustavus softball team will face Carleton College in a doubleheader on Thursday afternoon at Hollingsworth Field. Game one of Thursday’s doubleheader will begin at 3:30 p.m. with game two taking place shortly after the conclusion of game one. Gustavus enters Thursday’s games at 5-10 overall and 2-2 in the MIAC, while Carleton comes in at 10-13 overall and 5-5 in the MIAC.
After nearly a month of postponements and cancellations, the Gustavus softball team is back on the diamond for the first time since suffering at sweep at the hands of Hamline on April 6 at Hollingsworth Field. The Gusties fell 2-1 in game one and 5-2 in game two. Carleton is back in action for the first time since April 16 when the Knight’s fell to St. Thomas by scores of 3-2 and 9-0.
