Collegeville, Minn. – The Gustavus Adolphus women’s indoor track and field team tallied 113.5 points to finish fourth at the CSB/SJU Quadrangular held on Saturday afternoon at the Donald McNeely Spectrum.  Host Saint Benedict won the meet with 191 points, Concordia placed second with 148.5 points, and UW-Stout took third with 119.2 points.

Caitlin Fermoyle (So., Mendota Heights, Minn.) provided Gustavus’s top finish of the afternoon by winning the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:49.04.

Second place finishers on the track included Hana Fischer (So., Eden Prairie, Minn.), Haley Kemper (So., Prior Lake, Minn.), and Lauren Shurson (Fy., Chanhassen, Minn.).  Fischer ran a 8.32 in the 60-meter dash, Kemper went 60.71 in the 400-meter dash, and Shurson finished in 11:03.05 in the 3,000-meter run.  Courtney Branch (Fy., Minnetonka, Minn.) rounded out the team’s top finishers on the track with third place finish in the 1,000-meter run (3:07.43).

In the throwing events, Hayley Solheim (Fy., Crookston, Minn.) and Sarah Swanson (Fy., Fairbanks, Alaska) led the way with a pair of third place performances.  Solheim recorded a toss of 40-feet 9.5-inches in the shot put, and Swanson threw the weight 43-feet 3.75-inches.

In the pole vault, Allyson Voss (Sr., Wausau, Wis.) cleared 11-feet 2.50 inches to place runner-up, while Nevada Wendlandt (Jr., Maplewood, Minn.) went over the bar at 10-feet 8.75-inches for a third place finish.

The Gustavus indoor track and field team will be in action next at the Macalester Pre-MIAC Meet held in St. Paul on Friday, Feb. 22.
