Senior Alex Kolquist shot a 73 (+1) on Sunday to lead the Gusties
Eau Claire, Wis. – The Gustavus men’s golf team sits in second place after the first day of play at the Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Invitational hosted by UW-Eau Claire at the Eau Claire Country Club. The Gusties shot a combined 306 (+22) on the day and trail Luther by two strokes after the Norse shot a 304 (+20). Gustavus is expected to tee off tomorrow morning at 10:10 a.m.
The Gusties got key contributions from seniors Alex Kolquist (Hermantown, Minn.) and Coby Rowley (Prior Lake, Minn.). Kolquist recorded a one-over-par 73 on the afternoon to rank him tied for second after day one. Rowley shot a two-over-par 74 to place him fourth.
Play is scheduled to resume tomorrow morning at Eau Claire Country Club. The Gusties are scheduled to tee off at approximately 10:10 a.m.
