Gustavus Adolphus junior women’s hockey player Kelsey Kennedy (Eagan, Minn.) has been featured on the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s Student-Athlete Spotlight this week.  The Spotlight highlights student-athletes from across the conference each Tuesday and Thursday.

Kennedy played in 27 games last season, recording nine points on nine assists.  The junior blueliner from Eagan, Minn. finished the year with a plus/minus of +10, logging 12 penalty minutes.  In two seasons, Kennedy has played in 57 games and scored a total of 19 points (2G, 17A).

Kelsey and the rest of the Gustavus women’s hockey team will open the 2011-12 season at home in Don Roberts Ice Rink against Concordia University (Wis.) on Friday, Nov. 4 at 7:00 p.m.
