Asst. Coach Kevin Whipple talks with Pat Clark and Kyle Olson

The Gustavus men’s tennis team dropped a tight 5-4 decision to Luther College at the Swanson Indoor Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon.  The Gusties got off to a slow start dropping all three doubles matches, but then rallied to win four of the six singles matches. The match wrapped up the regular season for Gustavus.  The Gusties will now prepare for the MIAC Post-Season Tournament, which will take place at Gustavus next Friday and Saturday.

Gustavus earned all four of its points in the match in singles play.  The winners included Amrik Donkena at #1, Patrick Clark at #2, Daniel Pomeranc at #4, and Kyle Olson at #6.

The Gusties came up just short in the number one doubles match where Amrik Donkena and Tyler Johnson lost a heartbreaking 9-8 decision to Max Busch and Utsab Risal.
