Women’s Soccer Wins 2-1 In Overtime Over Carleton

The Gustavus women's soccer team improved to 5-1-0 on the season after it won in overtime against Carleton College by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday at the Gustavus Soccer Field. The game marked the beginning of conference play for both teams. Karen Maus scored the game winner for the Gusties with two minutes remaining in overtime. Carleton falls to 1-4-1 on the season.

Men’s Soccer Claims Important 2-1 Win Over Carleton In Northfield

The Gustavus men's soccer team got two goals from Bret VanderStreek, one in each half, and then held off a late Carleton rally to claim a 2-1 win in Northfield on Wednesday afternoon. The contest was the MIAC opener for both squads. The Gusties improve to 3-1-2 overall and 1-0-0 in the MIAC.

Women’s Golf Finishes Fourth at O’Brien National Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team posted a second round score of 320 at the O'Brien National Invitational on Monday, which gave them a 36 hole total of 326-320--646. The Gusties finished fourth overall in the nine team tournament which was held in Notre Dame, Indiana. Gustavus was led by Kali Griggs (79-79—158) who finished in a tie for ninth place. The St. Mary's Invite featured eight of the top nine teams nationally.

Men’s Soccer Plays Simpson College To A 0-0 Draw In Indianola, Iowa

The Gustavus men's soccer team continued to struggle to score goals and battled Simpson College to a 0-0 draw in two overtimes on Sunday afternoon in Indianola, Iowa. Luke Strom made four saves in goal for the Gusties and registered his second consecutive shutout as Gustavus moved to 2-1-2 on the season.

Men’s Golf Finishes Eighth At Augsburg Invitational

The Gustavus men's golf team bounced back from a difficult first day to shoot a team score of 299 on the second day and finished with a 36-hole total of 316-299--615, which was good for eighth place out of 14 teams. The tournament was played at Majestic Oaks Golf Club in Ham Lake, Minn. John Anderson (78-75--153) and A.J. Olson (76-77--153) led the Gusties tying for 17th place.

Women’s Soccer Claims 5-0 Win Over Simpson College

The Gustavus women's soccer team completed a successful road trip down to Iowa this weekend, winning their second game of the trip by a score of 5-0 over Simpson College. The Gusties defeated Central College yesterday by a score of 4-0. Against Simpson, the Gusties were led by Meghan McMillan who had one goal and one assist on the day. Chelsea Bayer turned away one shot to record the shutout. The Gusties move to 4-1-0 on the season.

Women’s Golf In Third After First Day of O’Brien National Invitational

The Gustavus women's golf team finds itself in a tie for third place after the first day of the O'Brien National Invitational in Notre Dame, Indiana. The Gusties finished with a first round team score of 326. Methodist University is the first round leader after firing a team score of 303. Kali Griggs led Gustavus on day one, carding a 79. The tournament wraps up Monday, with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.

Men’s Golf Struggles On First Day Of Augsburg Invitational

The Gustavus men's golf team got off to a rough start on the first day of the Augsburg Invitational shooting a team score of 36 which places them 11th out of 15 teams in the tournament. A.J. Olson led Gustavus with a 76. The tournament wraps up on Sunday.

Men’s Golf Opens 2009 Season At Augsburg Invitational This Weekend

Head Coach Scott Moe welcomes back seven seniors and a talented group of newcomers as the Gusties hope to contend for the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title this fall. Moe will look to senior captains Ricky Copeland and A.J. Olson to lead the way as the squad opens its season this weekend at the Augsburg Invitational.

Volleyball Finishes Gustavus Classic With 3-1 Record

The Gustavus volleyball team finished day two of the Gustavus Classic Tournament with a 1-1 record, and an overall tournament record of 3-1. In the first match of the day, the Gusties defeated York College 3-0. The scores for the match were 25-13, 25-18, and 25-10. The Gusties lost their second game of the day to the Falcons from UW-River Falls by a score of 2-3. The scoring for the match was 25-18. 16-25. 25-21, 20-25, and 11-15. Gustavus moves to 6-4 overall on the season after the two day tournament.
