Bernhardson And deLaubenfels Named To USTFCCCA Cross-Country All-Academic Teams
Gustavus Adolphus senior cross country runners Sarah Bernhardson and Chris deLaubenfels have been named to the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Cross-Country All-Academic Teams. A total of 353 runners, 150 men and 203 women, from over 100 Division III institutions were selected for the teams.
Women’s Basketball To Face St. Thomas In MIAC Semifinal, Game To Be Broadcast Over Internet
The third-seed Gustavus Adolphus College women's basketball team, which is 18-8, will face second-seed University of St. Thomas, which is 19-6, in a MIAC Semifinal contest at Schoenecker Arena in St. Paul on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 7:30 pm. Matt Thomas will provide the play-by-play and the broadcast can be accessed through the Gustavus website.
Late Second Half Surge Gives Women’s Basketball 79-66 Win Over Hamline
The adage you remember the beginning and the end of a game was especially true for the Gustavus women's basketball team in a 79-66 playoff victory over Hamline on Monday night at Gus Young Court. The Gusties outscored the Pipers 35-10 in the first and last five minutes to earn the right to play St. Thomas in St. Paul on Wednesday night. Gustavus improved to 18-8, while Hamline's season ended at 13-13.

The Gustavus women's swim team captured the MIAC Team title for the second year in a row. Individually, Gundersen finished first in the 500 freestyle race and second in the 1650 freestyle race.

Women’s Basketball MIAC Playoff Game Against Hamline Will Be Available On Video And Audio Stream
The Gustavus women's basketball team will face Hamline in a MIAC Playoff game on Monday evening, Feb. 25 and the game can be watched and listened to through the Gustavus website. Matt Thomas will handle the play-by-play. Game time is set for 7:30 pm. The broadcast will begin at 7:20 pm.
Women’s Indoor Track and Field Performs Well at University of Minnesota Parents’ Day Open
The Gustavus women's indoor track and field squad competed at the University of Minnesota Parents' Day Open on Saturday. The 800 meter relay team posted the top finish placing second in a time of 1:51.29, while Sari Lindeman finished third in the triple jump with a leap of 35' 6 3/4". No team scores were kept at the meet.
Men’s Tennis Team Defeats #1 UC-Santa Cruz 5-4 To Win ITA Indoor Championship
The Gustavus men's tennis team claimed its fourth Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division III Men's Indoor Championship with a thrilling 5-4 win over #1 seed and defending champion UC-Santa Cruz on Sunday afternoon. The Gusties picked up two doubles wins and three singles victories to compile the five points necessary to win the match. The tournament was played at the Swanson Tennis Center on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus College.
Men’s Tennis Advances To Finals of ITA Division III Indoor Tennis Championship
The Gustavus men's tennis team advanced to the championship match of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) Division III Indoor Championship with a 6-3 win over #2 Emory on Saturday afternoon. The Gusties, who are the #3 seed, will face #1 UC-Santa Cruz in the title match on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 9:00 am. The tournament is being played at the Swanson Tennis Center on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus College.
Women’s Hockey Completes Perfect MIAC Season With 7-1 Win Against Concordia
The 2007-08 Gustavus women's hockey team became the first team to finish the MIAC women's hockey season 18-0-0 after defeating Concordia 7-1 in Moorhead on Saturday. Both squads were tied 1-1 midway through the second period until the Gusties scored two goals in 1:40 for a 3-1 lead and never looked back. Gustavus, which is ranked #3 in the recent USCHO.com Division III poll, finished the regular season at 23-2-0 overall. Concordia fell to 10-11-2 overall and 10-6-2 in league play.
