The Gustavus Adolphus women’s basketball team will be sponsoring “Think Pink” day at the Gustavus vs. Carleton basketball game on Saturday, February 23 at 1 p.m. In an initiative to raise breast cancer awareness, the Golden Gusties will hand out pink carnations to the first 50 women in attendance at Saturday afternoon’s game.

“Think Pink” is a national campaign organized by the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA). The initiative is a global, unified effort for the WBCA community to assist in raising breast cancer awareness on the court, across campuses, in communities and beyond. The WBCA began Think Pink in 2007 and more than 120 schools unified for this effort in the inaugural year. The Think Pink initiative has also crossed over to other sports, including swimming and diving, gymnastics, tennis and men’s basketball.
