Women’s Hockey Wraps Up Regular Season Against Concordia Posted on February 20th, 2008 by

The Gustavus Adolphus women’s hockey team will wrap up the regular season with a series against Concordia College and the opportunity to become the first team in MIAC women’s hockey history to complete a season 18-0-0. The Golden Gusties enter the contest at 21-2-0 overall and 16-0-0 in league play, while the Cobbers come in at 10-9-2 overall and 10-4-2 in the MIAC. Last weekend, Gustavus remained undefeated in league play with a sweep of St. Catherine 3-0 in Minneapolis and 5-1 in St. Peter. Concordia swept Saint Benedict with 3-2 and 4-3 wins in Moorhead. Both games will be played in Moorhead, Minn. with Friday’s game at 7 p.m and Saturday’s game at 2 p.m.

Gustavus put 74 shots on goal in Friday’s 3-0 win over St. Catherine at Ridder Arena…This was the highest number of shots on goal since January 26, 2002 when the Gusties tallied 76 shots against Hamline in a 9-0 victory
