Gustavus Adolphus College senior linebacker Adam Miron (Princeton, Minn. / Princeton) has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week for the week ending Nov. 12, 2006. Miron amassed a game-high eight tackles (five solo) in Gustavus’ 14-10 season-ending win over Carleton. Miron also recorded a sack for a loss of nine yards on a fourth-and-three play in the fourth quarter, returned an interception 74 yards in the final minute of the second quarter to set up the eventual game-winning touchdown and recovered a fumble at the Carleton 23 to set up the other Gustie touchdown early in the second quarter.

Miron is the second Golden Gustie to be honored by D3football.com this season. Sophomore wide receiver Chad Arlt was named to the Team of the Week following his eight-catch, 188-yard performance against Willamette (Ore.) in the season opener on Sept. 9. The Bethel University offensive line was the only other MIAC representative on this week’s team. Bethel upset #3 Saint John’s 28-13 to claim a share of the MIAC title and the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Football Championship.

The Gusties (6-4 overall, 4-4 MIAC) closed out the season on a four-game winning streak.

Miron, an economics major, is the son of Ray and Margaret Miron of Princeton and a 2003 graduate of Princeton High School.
