Men’s Tennis Falls to Azusa Pacific 7-2 Posted on March 31st, 2005 by

The Gustavus men’s tennis team ended its spring break trip with a 7-2 loss to Azusa Pacific University. Azusa Pacific is the #1 rated team in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The Gusties are now 14-4 on the season. Roy Bryan was the lone singles winner for Gustavus as he defeated Alex Muresan 6-2, 6-3. The other Gustie win was at #1 doubles where Adam Morgan and Brett Morse-Karzen defeated Sam Fletcher and Adam Davidison 8-5.

1. Sam Fletcher (APU) defeated Ben Lundell (GA) 6-1, 6-2
2. David Goodman (APU) defeated Adam Morgan (GA) 7-5, 6-3
3. Adam Davidson (APU) defeated Jesse Brauer (GA) 7-5, 6-2
4. Gordon Hong (APU) defeated Brett Morse-Karzen (GA) 6-1, 6-0
5. Tom Jelsma (APU) defeated Andy Bryan (GA) 3-6, 6-2, 6-1
6. Roy Bryan (GA) defeated Alex Muresan (APU) 6-2, 6-3
