Gustavus Adolphus College junior defenseman Keith Detlefsen (Lakeville, Minn./Academy of Holy Angels) has been named the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men’s Hockey Player of the Week for January 10-16. Detlefsen tallied six points in the conference sweep of Concordia College this past weekend in Moorhead, Minn. The defenseman recorded two goals and three assists in Friday night’s 7-0 victory over the Cobbers. On Saturday, the junior contributed one goal in the 4-1 conference win over Concordia. On the season, Detlefsen leads the Gusties with six goals and nine assists for 15 points.

The Gusties are currently 2-2-0 in the MIAC and 5-8-0 overall. Gustavus will be back in action this weekend as they will face Hamline University in a weekend conference series. The Pipers will host the Gusties on Friday night at the State Fair Coliseum in St. Paul and the Gusties will host the Pipers Saturday night at the Lund Ice Arena in St. Peter.
