Women’s Swimming Places 10th at Minnesota Invite Posted on November 21st, 2004 by

The Gustavus women’s swimming team record 22 points and placed 10th at the University of Minnesota Invite. The meet took place November 19-21 at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center in Minneapolis, Minn. The Gusties competed against Division I, II and III teams at the meet.

The Gusties compiled 14 points in relay events. The team of Katherine Haynes, Eva Miller, Katie Garvey and Beth DeLaRosby compiled eight points by placing 16th with a time of 1:52.60 in the 200 medley relay. Gustavus tallied six points in the 800 freestyle relay. The team of Katie Garvey, Beth DeLaRosby, Sara Pfau and Kari Reed recorded a time of 8:16.73 to place 16th.

Beth DeLaRosby and Eva Miller recorded points individually for the Gusties. DeLaRosby placed 13th in 50 freestyle with a time of 24.33 to claim four points for the Gusties. Eva Miller placed 15th in the 100 breastroke with a time of 1:09.10 to claim two points for Gustavus.

Gustavus will be back in action on December 3-4 at the Carthage Invitational.
