Women’s Gymnastics Defeats Hamline 179.80 – 176.50 Posted on February 27th, 2004 by

The Gustavus Adolphus women’s gymnastics team defeated Hamline University 179.80 – 176.50 at Sponberg Gymnastics Studio in St. Peter, Minn. on Friday night. The Gusties improve to 4-1 in dual meet action and stay undefeated at home.

Coach Glidden’s squad posted scores of 45.550 on the vault, 44.025 on the uneven bars, 44.275 on the beam, and 45.950 in the floor exercsie.

The Gusties were led by Amanda Parker who won the all-around for the seventh time this season with a total of 36.50. Parker also won the uneven bars (9.425) and floor (9.50). Alyssa Cox won the vault with a score of 9.45. Ashley Erickson finished in second place on the vault with a score of 9.15 and in second place on the uneven bars with a score of 9.250. Molly McIntyre won the balance beam with a score of 9.175. Nicole Gergen finished in second on the floor exercise with a score of 9.375.

The Gusties will host UW-Oshkosh on March 12 in St. Peter, Minn.
